Registration Information:

Q: Can I register a team?

A: We encourage it! Have fun with your family or friends!

Q: How do I create/join a team?

A: After registering to participate, it will ask you if you want to join or create a team. Click button and create a team with you as captain or search for a team and join.

Q: What is included with my registration?

A: An Official Be A Blessing T-shirt and participants receive a finisher’s medal while supplies last. To guarantee your shirt size register before October 8th.

Q: Do I have to be an experienced runner to participate?

A: Nope. The Be a Blessings 5k & 1M Fun Run is a non-competitive, untimed 5K that can be experienced with friends and family. You’re free to run, jog, walk, or cartwheel along the course!

Q: Can my child participate in the race on their own?

A: Children 16 and up can run on their own. Participants under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Q: Can I register on race day? Do you accept credit cards at packet pickup and/or on race day?

A. Yes, you can register on race day with cash or a check, but we can’t guarantee a shirt or sizes.

Packet Pickup Information:

Q:How do I pick up my packet?

A: Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, October 24, 2025 from 5:00PM – 7:00PM at NAFCS Educational Support Center, 2801 Grant Line Road, New Albany, IN 47150

Q: Can someone else pick up my race packet for me?

A: Yes, a friend or family member can pick up your packet.

If you are a team captain, you are welcome to pick up your team’s packets.

Q: I’m running, can my spouse/family volunteer?

A: Yes, we can use all the help we can get. They can sign up for the volunteer schedule here.

Race Day Information:

Q: Is the event timed?

A: The Be a Blessings 5k & 1M Fun Run are untimed. 

Q: Are there awards for the race?

A: Yes, everyone who finishes receives a medal while supplies last.
The Largest Team Award will go to the team with the most registered members. All team members must be registered by October 23rd to be eligible.

The Largest Fundraising Team will go to the team that has raised the most money for Blessings in a Backpack Floyd County. To be eligible, all team donations need to be online or turned in on Packet Pick-up on October 24th.

Q: Can I run with a dog?

A: Furry family members are allowed at our 5K run/walks as long as they are on a leash, trained and do well in crowds. Remember to pick up after your pets. Please be respectful of other participants.

Q: Can I run with a stroller?

A: Yes, you may run with a stroller. Just be mindful of those runners who may want to pass you.

Q: Will there be water?

A: There will be water stations providing bottled water to participants. There will also be water and snacks at the finish.

Q: Will there be toilets?

A: Yes 

Q: What happens if there is bad weather?

A little rain won’t stop us! We will only delay for lightning.

If the in-person race is canceled due to severe weather, an announcement will be made via facebook for the morning of the race. All registered participants will automatically become virtual runners and we will set a date for you to pick up your medal.

Q: Are there refunds?

A: The Be A Blessing 5K and 1 M Fun Run does not process refunds. 

Q: Is there race day packet pickup?

A: There will be packet pickup the morning of the race at the registration area.

Avoid the lines! Packet pick up is on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at NAFCS Educational Support Center, 2801 Grant Line Road.
